General Labor / Flagger

We are seeking a skilled Flagger/Laborer to join our team for Street, Road & Highway Construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working in field operations with subcontractors for small civil projects and concrete flatwork. Assist equipment operators, form setters, and concrete finishers with general task. Working with the Traffic Control Supervisor to assist in traffic flow. Looking for someone with Leadership and Integrity to grow with JARCCO Construction.

All travel expenses paid, including lodging, daily per diem as well as an extra $2 hourly incentive for out-of-town jobs. In addition to your job, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and apply them firsthand. Responsibilities

Assist Journeyman with various construction tasks, such as digging, hauling, and cleanup.
Perform manual labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials, tools, and equipment.
Operate power tools, such as saws, drills, and grinders, under the supervision of experienced journeymen.
Layout parking lot striping.
Follow safety guidelines and regulations at all times, including wearing personal protective equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including disposing of waste and materials properly.
Collaborate with our team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively
Informing motorists regarding detours
Communicating with other Flaggers and Construction Workers
Using hand signals to direct traffic
Report negligent drivers

Qualifications

Strong Work Ethic and 5 Years of Construction Related Experience
Physical stamina and ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Familiarity with construction equipment and power tools.
Basic knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.
ATSSA certificate (preferred)
Colorado Flagger Certification (required at minimum)

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a field-related role in transportation, concrete construction, or heavy civil construction.

Ability to work flexibly and willingness to work extensively to meet business needs.
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record (required).

High School Diploma or GED

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Work Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Employees working in this environment may be subject to evening, weekend, holiday, or on-call emergency shifts.
- Work hours primarily involve 8-hour shifts during weekdays.
- Approximately 90% performed in the field.
- Ability to work in ever-changing Colorado weather on a daily basis.
- Must always maintain a professional appearance and attitude while on the job site.
